Dr. Fang
Dr. Fang was graduated from Shanghai Medical College in 1940. He served as a chief doctor at a number of hospitals before he retired. At the present, he is still working for half a day a week at the expert clinic of a major hospital in Shanghai.
Dr. Fang excels in the treatment of cerebral diseases and kidney diseases. The former include epilepsy, migraine, cerebral thrombosis, aphasia and Parkinson’s disease, and latter include incretopathy, barrenness, frequent micturition, urinary retention, prostatic disorders and nephritis. Dr. Fei was graduated from Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1963. She also received her Master’s degree in 1981 after she had worked for 18 years. She is currently professor of diagnostics and Director of the Faculty of Diagnostics of a major medical university in Shanghai. She is mainly engaged in the teaching of basic theories and diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine and the research on the objectivization of the four traditional ways of diagnosis, i.e. inspection, auscultation and olfaction, interrogation, and felling pulse and palpation. A 22-year-old Japanese college student visited Dr. Fei for epilepsy in 1995. When he was in the middle school, he had only two major fits of the disease, but he had frequent minor fits, mainly limited to the spasms of the arms and hands.
