Dr. Gu was graduated from Shanghai college of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1967. She is currently the deputy chief doctor of the tumor department of a major hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in Shanghai.
With over three decades of clinic experience, Dr. Gu has a profound understanding of the traditional Chinese therapy for various kinds of tumors such as those in the alimentary canal, breast tumors, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma with the method of strengthening the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factors. She is particularly good at treating the cerebral cancer and gastric cancer.
2. A 34-year-old Mr. Lou visited Dr. Gu in 1995 after an operation of the rectal gland cancer, which was 6 cm from the anal. He could not receive chemotherapy because blood routine tests found that his white blood cells were only 3,000/mcl. Since then he has been taking traditional Chinese medicine prescribed by Dr. Gu and, thanks to that, he has never had a relapse of his disease.
3. A 47-year-old Ms. Zhang visited Dr. Gu in October 1999. She had had a mastectomy of the right breast in December. A laboratory test showed that she had the infiltrative cancer that had already metastasized to three of the fourteen lymph nodes around the breast. In the process of the chemotherapy, she was found to have the Type C hepatitis. Half a year after she began to receive treatment for the hepatitis, she was found to have the fatty liver. Since then she has been taking traditional Chinese medicine prescribed by Dr. Gu on a regular basis. All her symptoms have disappeared and she has been in good physical condition.
4. A 60-year-old Ms Liu visited Dr. Gu after an operation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in 1989. After she received the chemotherapy, her sight was blurred, her tongue felt unsmooth, her finger joints were rather inflexible, and she had tinnitus and heavy nasal sound. She has been taking Dr. Gu’s prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine since then. She has never had a relapse of the disease and feels fairly good.
For the first time in the history of traditional Chinese medicine, Dr. Liu put forward the systematic theory and method of treating cancers by strengthening the body resistance in 1972. He summed up a number of effective prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine for over a dozen cancers including lung cancer, stomach cancer, intestinal cancer, breast cancer, and cerebral cancer. Most patients who received this treatment exhibited notable improvement in their symptoms: their cancers or tumors got under control, their life expectancy was extended, and their tumors became smaller or even disappeared, which meant they were cured. He is perhaps best known for his treatment of patients in their advanced stage of lung cancer and for his invention of senso paste which has remarkable effect in reducing cancerous pains. To date he has received 12 prizes at the state and municipal levels. In addition, Dr. Liu has invented another two medications for cancer -- Gold Recovery Decoction and Health Recovery Capsules.
Dr. Liu's achievements have won him international recognition as well as domestic fame. He has been a recipient of a special allowance awarded by the State Council of the People's Republic of China since 1992.
Dr. Liu is also Director of the National Center of Tumor Treatment by Traditional Chinese Medicine under State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Vice Director of China Tumor Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Director of Shanghai Tumor Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In his long years of clinical practice and research on traditional Chinese medicine and combined therapy of Chinese and western medicine, Dr. Qiu has formed his unique view about the treatment of blood disorders. His combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine and modern western medicine has produced remarkable effect in the treatment of various kinds of anemia, particularly aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia, leukemia, lymph-gland tumor, myelopathy and myeloproliferative disorder, as well as immunological thrombocytopenic purpura, hypoleukmia and thrombocytopenia. The effective rate of his treatment of aplastic anemia is as high as 85%; and the median survival period of his chronic leukemia patients exceeds 72 months, 80% of whom can expect to survive longer than five years. All these are far higher than those of his colleagues in mainland China.
Dr. Qiu has published over 20 academic papers and co-authored 3 books. He has attended a number of international academic symposiums on hematology in the United States and Europe.
2. A forty-year-old Ms. Jin visited Dr. Qiu in May 1996 for symptoms of high fever, anemia and hemorrhage of unknown causes. A bone marrow examination found that she was suffering from a kind of acute leukemia. After she received Dr. Qiu's treatment, her symptoms were completely alleviated. After that Dr. Qiu started to give her small amounts of chemotherapeutants. Two reexaminations of her bone marrow in December 1999 and March 2000 showed complete alleviation of the disease. No leukemic fusion genes were found, and her chromosomes had returned to normal.
3. A fifty-year-old Mr. Hu visited Dr. Qiu in November 1988 for symptoms of splenomegoly and abnormal increase of white blood cells. A bone marrow examination found that he had chronic myelocytic leukemia and that his Phchromosomes were positive. Since he began to receive Dr. Qiu's treatment, his symptoms have steadily improved. Now he has resumed his work and is leading a normal life. He is still visiting Dr. Qiu once a month.
2. A forty-seven-year-old Ms. Ye visited Dr. Wang in July 1995 for thyroid cystoma. She had had two operations for thyroid cystoma and adenoma in September 1974 and April 1990 respectively. In September 1994, two new lumps appeared in her neck, which often gave her the feeling of nausea. A B-type ultrasonic examination confirmed that there were thyroid cystomas in both sides of her neck. In May 1995, another hospital suggested an operation. Afraid of the operation, the patient turned to Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang found two rather solid lumps of 3x3 cm, which moved upwards with swallowing movements. After she took Dr. Wang's "Decoction for Eliminating Warts and Softening Hard Masses" for three weeks, the lumps began to soften and shrink. Another four months later, the lump in the left side disappeared. And still anther two months later, the one in the right side also disappeared. She continued to take the decoction for another two months to consolidate the effect. She has never had any relapse since then.
Dr. Xu is currently Director of the Tumor Department of a major hospital in Shanghai and member of the Tumor Branch of China Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has published over 30 academic papers and co-authored four books. Since 1980 he has been awarded six prizes for his outstanding achievements.
Clinically Dr. Xu excels in the treatment of cancers such as the lung cancer, stomach cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer and large intestine cancer through the traditional methods of strengthening the body resistance and balancing Yin and Yang. Thanks to his method of pure traditional Chinese medicine, the tumors of many patients became smaller and even dissolved. Their life spans were considerably prolonged and some of them were clinically cured. His numerous successful cases have won him high renown, some of which have been reported in a number of major newspapers in China including Guangming Daily, Jiefang Daily, and Xinmin Evening Daily, as well as Medicine of Five Continents in Hong Kong. He has also been invited to give lectures in Germany and Thailand.
2. A 69-year-old Mr. Shao visited Dr. Xu in May 1996 for the lung cancer with multiple metastases. According to Dr. Xu’s diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine, the disease was due to deficiency of both Qi and Yin. As the patient refused radiotherapy and chemotherapy because of his weak conditions, he took only Chinese medications. Half a year later, his disease was visibly relieved. With his complexion and appetite returning to normal, he was able to move about like normal people. He continued to take Dr. Xu’s prescriptions, which kept his disease under control for nearly four years.
3. A 62-year-old Dr. Lu visited Dr. Xu in 1987 after he had had an operation on the primary lung cancer. In the 14 years since then he has been taking Dr. Xu’s prescriptions of traditional Chinese medications. The examinations of B-type ultrasonic, CT scan and AFP test have not found any signs of relapse or metastasis.
Dr. Zhao is from a family of traditional Chinese doctors. His grandfather Pan Minde and his mother Pan Fengzhen were both famous doctors in Shanghai. Dr. Zhao learned traditional Chinese medicine from his mother when he was very young and started his medical career in 1970s. In 1990 he passed an official examination and got a certificate as an independent doctor of Chinese medicine.
Dr. Zhao excels in the diagnosis of diseases by taking the patients’ pulses and in the acupuncture therapy of various difficult and complicated cases, particularly infertility, cardiovascular disease and cancers.
Dr. Zhuang is from a family of traditional Chinese doctors. She has been learning the treatment of tumors from the famous doctor Zhihua Zhuang for twenty-five years and is currently working at the oncolgy department of a major hospital in Shanghai. She is particularly good at treating mastodenoma with traditional Chinese medicine. On the basis of her medical practice, she has been engaged in the development of Chinese medications for the treatment of breast cancer and in the prevention of cancerous metastasis and relapse. Those medications have proved effective for the reduction of the harmful side effects of operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
2. A forty-eight-year-old Ms Xie visited Dr. Zhuang in December 1998 for lymphadenoma. The diagnosis was made in May 1998. After she had received chemotherapy for six months, her white blood cells dropped to about 2,000/mm3, and she was easily tired and had constant hectic fever. She then turned to Dr. Zhuang. Since then she has been on regular visits to the doctor. Now her conditions are stable. Her lymph nodes have considerably diminished, the symptoms of tiredness and hectic fever have disappeared, and her white blood cells have risen to about 4,500/mm3. She is still taking traditional Chinese medications.
